Penthos provides a free tertiary mental health service delivered by specially trained health professionals (psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and couple therapists). Their counsellors and psychologists support parents experiencing: - perinatal anxiety and depression - adjustment difficulties after childbirth - trauma related to pregnancy, birth, or early parenting - perinatal grief and loss (including miscarriage, stillbirth, and neonatal death)

Sharon uses a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills, Interpersonal therapy and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. Sharon can also provide neuropsychological assessments for people experiencing memory or cognitive difficulties.

Provides a state-wide face-to-face, telephone and online video counselling and support service for parents, including parents from lesbian, gay male, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) communities and their children and adolescents, following separation or bereavement.
