Kids Connecting Parents is an Australian-developed App that offers emotional support to bereaved parents and carers and embraces all child loss from prenatal through to adult children. It offers a gentle, private space to connect locally with other parents who truly understand. Parents can search locally or worldwide, read parent profiles, and choose who and when to reach out. The App supports one-to-one and group connections, with the option to meet in person if comfortable. Designed to reduce feelings of isolation and encourage meaningful support, it is especially valuable in regional, rural, and remote areas where there is little to no face-to-face support services, or for parents who want to find and connect with other local parents in their area. The first month is free, giving you time to explore the App and find other’s nearby, then AUD $0.99c per month, with some non-means tested funding available to pay for the first five years.

The Therapy Support Program is a financial assistance initiative created by The Aliyah Mae Foundation to help bereaved parents access the mental health support they so urgently need following the death of a child. We understand that after the loss of a child, families are not only grieving, they’re often overwhelmed by financial strain, disrupted routines, and emotional exhaustion. This program aims to ease some of that burden by providing up to $1,000 in therapy support, paid directly to a qualified mental health professional of your choice.

Kids Cancer Support Group (KCSG) provides practical, emotional, and peer-based support to families impacted by childhood cancer, palliative care, and bereavement. Their services include one-to-one peer support delivered by trained family and caregiver representatives with lived experience, bereavement support for parents and siblings, and group connection opportunities for families navigating grief. KCSG also offers practical assistance such as food boxes, cleaning and gardening support, vouchers, and other everyday help to reduce pressure during periods of crisis. Additional supports include play therapy for bereaved siblings, family retreats, wellbeing walks, group meet-ups, and gentle social connection opportunities designed to reduce isolation. All support is provided with a strong focus on compassion, safety, and trauma-informed care, with no expectations or pressure placed on families.

Road Trauma Support WA is a self-referral service. You do not need a referral from a medical or health professional to access our services. Counselling services are available for adults and children over 13 years old. Everyone has different ways of dealing with the impact of a road crash. You may find it helpful to talk to someone, particularly if you are struggling with everyday activities, special events or anniversaries. Our specialised counsellors will listen and help you understand your trauma- its effects and triggers, then help you develop the skills and strategies you need to heal and move forward. All the emotional and psychological information and support you need, without judgment. We provide specialised trauma and bereavement counselling: In-person (Leederville) or via telephone or video call; No referral needed; No limit on the number of sessions; No timeframe for when the incident occurred; Free service.

Lionheart Camp for Kids is here to help children and teens navigate their grief journey following the death of a loved one. Their grief support programs are designed to educate children, teens, adults as a whole family, about grief and loss, ensuring that the whole family unit is strengthened and empowered on their grief journey. They provide a safe, fun-filled space for children and teens to explore and understand their grief and recognise that while grief is one part of their life, it doesn’t need to define them. Their programs also offer opportunities for parents and grandparents to learn about childhood grief and how to manage their own grief while supporting their child/ren.

Red Nose provides specialised bereavement support free of charge to any person affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child during pregnancy, birth, infancy or childhood.

Penthos provides grieving parents a fully donor-funded, specialist therapy program for couples suffering unresolved grief following the loss of a child. Penthos provides a free tertiary mental health service delivered by specially trained health professionals (psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and couple therapists). Couples can attend therapy face-to-face or via video link depending on their location or circumstances. Our services are offered Australia-wide.

The National DonateLife Family Support Service supports donor families through providing care, information and answers. This service includes: support for families during donation, phone calls to the family after donation, written information, further contact and support if requested, Families are able to opt in or out of ongoing contact and support. Families can access support services through their local DonateLife Agency.

Provides a state-wide face-to-face, telephone and online video counselling and support service for parents, including parents from lesbian, gay male, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) communities and their children and adolescents, following separation or bereavement. Information and assistance with understanding the complexities of the Family Court and the legal system are also available. Grief counselling for others also available. Up to 12 sessions over a maximum of 12 months. Appointments necessary. After-hours appointments are available on request. Telephone and video-conferencing appointments are available.

We donate Memory Boxes and Keepsake Packs to hospitals across WA, helping parents honour and remember their little ones and providing staff with tangible ways to provide compassionate care. We also provide ongoing support to families grieving the loss of a baby via our various peer support groups, packing events and social club. "Feel the Magic" is an Australian charity that provides early intervention grief education programs for children ages 7 to 17 who are experiencing the death of a parent, guardian, or sibling. Their mission is to create a world where these grieving kids and families feel supported, empowered, and can move forward. They offer programs like support camps, grief education, emotional support, and skills to live healthily with grief.

ARBOR is a free service offering short-medium term grief counselling, practical & emotional support, appropriate referral support, volunteer lived-experience peer support, and support groups to people recently impacted by losing loved ones to suicide. ARBOR Suicide Bereavement Counsellors can provide support and strategies for managing grief, as well as refer you to other Anglicare WA services if required. Counselling sessions are an hour long and can be one-on-one, or involve multiple clients. Initial appointments can be facilitated in your home. CYPRESS stands for 'Children and Young People Responsive Suicide Support'. It's a free and long-term support service for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18 who have been bereaved by suicide. Please note CYPRESS is a metropolitan wide service, offering formal clinical counselling services to children and young people at north and south Perth metro locations.

Blue Knot provides information and support for anyone who is affected by complex trauma. support adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse, parents, partners, family and friends as well as the professionals who work with them. Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Support Service is a specialist service. Their counsellors provide empathetic, informative and empowering support for adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse.

Centrecare is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation which aims to strengthen people and communities through the provision of professional social services, inspired by compassion and recognition for human dignity. Individual, couple or family counselling - Counselling is a confidential way that individuals, couples and families can discuss any issues and concerns. Counsellors are trained to assist you with identifying options and making choices that are right for you.

A state-wide, after-hours crisis telephone counselling, support, advice, information and response service for families and individuals in crisis who require urgent assistance. Mobile teams are equipped to visit people in crisis including recent victims of domestic violence and those requiring material aid in the form of emergency food parcels and clothing. Crisis bereavement counselling is also available.

Bears of Hope’s mission is to provide ongoing comfort, support and counselling to parents and families who have experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy, birth and infancy.
